Meet Joy

Joy X Echols grew up in the quaint town of Idabel, OK and later moved to Oklahoma City, attending the University of Central Oklahoma where her studies allowed her to work with a wide range of individuals and families.  She has always had a love for babies, so she embarked on a new journey entering the birth community as a doula. Joy's curiosity for this amazing work started when she was a young girl ,and after years of being curious a passion sparked. Her passion leads a desire to provide birthing persons and their families a positive and open space that will create an environment conducive to having healthy labor and deliveries.

Specialties: Holistic Fertility, Birth, Postpartum and Placenta Encapsulation 

Joy received her training through the National Black Doulas Association under the tutelage of its founder Tracie Collins.  

Birth is a life changing event, but with Joy's nurturing support you will learn to be comfortable with the idea of giving birth. As your doula, you can count on her to make sure you feel confident throughout the entire process. Her goal is to give you the tools to be in control of your labor and birth through evidence-based research and education she will provide you with the knowledge to make the most informed decision for yourself. Whether you are in a hospital, birthing center or home setting; having a supportive doula by your side can make all the difference. It is her goal to educate and empower women to trust their innate strengths as a birthing person.
